Through the video lectures, participants will appreciate why risk-based is preferred over factor-based approach to determine regulatory capital and how Singapore has progressed from the pre-RBC era to the RBC regime. They will understand the key elements that make up the RBC framework and recognise the key drivers that led to the development of RBC2 framework. They will have a good knowledge of the different enhancements in the derivation of RBC2 factors and the likely impact of the RBC2 implementation might bring to the insurance industry.
