Programme Highlights

The programme fee will include:

	3 months access to the module that the candidate had registered and paid for;
	One examination sitting*+;
	One free re-assessment+;
	Access to the softcopy course book;
	Course-end assessment questions; and
	A Smart Certificate of Attendance certifying the CPD hours obtained**.

*You will be registered for examination ONLY after you have completed all the online contents, including the course-end assessment and answered at least 75% correctly.

*Candidates are required to inform SCI at [email protected] upon completing the online learning module(s) and course-end assessment to allow SCI to register you for the examination.

**To be eligible for CPD hours, the Smart Certificate of Attendance will only be issued if you have answered at least 75% of the questions correctly for the course-end assessment on the online learning platform.

Both the Smart Certificate of Attendance will be sent and examination registration will be processed within 5 working days.

Refund
Online learning programmes are NOT ELIGIBLE for refund and cancellation once payment has been made.

Examination Format And Frequency

	The examination will be held at SCI and the examination mode is in English medium via Computer Screen Examination (CSE).
	The examination duration, format and number of questions remain unchanged.
	Examination sessions will be made available monthly.
	Examination registration will be closed two working days prior to examination date, counting of the days does not include the actual examination date itself.

Note: Candidates are to bring their hardcopy version of the online contents for their open-book examination. SCI will not provide any hardcopy online content for candidate’s use during the open-book examination.

Examination Structure / Format
You may also wish to take note of the following:

Duration:	50 minutes
Format:	50 'True' or 'False' choice questions
Minimum Passing Grade:	70%

The examination will be held at the Singapore College of Insurance (SCI).

Release of Examination Result
The examination result will be available immediately after the examination. Candidates will be issued with the result slip before they leave the examination room.

Re-assessment
First re-assessment is free of charge only within the 3 months access period. However, the candidates will have to sit for the re-assessment on a date and time as scheduled by SCI. Any subsequent attempt will be charged at S$21.80 (inclusive of 9% GST) per assessment.

Access Course Period
Please note that it is the candidate’s responsibility to monitor his or her own course period for the online learning and course-end assessment completion of the Programme accordingly. The SCI WILL NOT send any notification to remind the candidate in this respect.

Course Objectives

By the end of the programme, candidates will be able to gain a basic understanding of insurance fundamentals, the structure of the Singapore insurance market and insurance documents. In addition, candidates will be able to gain an understanding of the scope of coverage and exclusions of Foreign Worker Insurance, as well as the relevant underwriting and claim conditions and procedures relating to the product.
