Among the accolades that SCI has earned is the inaugural Educational Service Provider of the Year Award at the Asia Insurance Industry Awards on 6 October 1997, which recognised SCI’s “extensive use of information technology and its track record in training not just Singapore-based insurance professionals but also executives from the region”.
On 1 October 2001, SCI was again voted the Asia Insurance Industry Educational Service Provider Of The Year in recognition of its “intensive online coursewares and effective online communication facilities allowing 24/7/365 services and consistent training, its innovative proactive responses to changing needs of the marketplace, as well as its value-added customised training courses for its corporate clients”.
“Saluted for its innovation and market leadership activities”, SCI again clinched the prestigious Educational Service Provider Of The Year Award on 5 November 2007 for the third time. SCI was also recognised for its market leadership role as it was instrumental in garnering the support of nine industry stakeholders, including the associations representing the banks, life insurers, brokers, advisers and other professionals to adopt and implement the ISO 22222 International Standard for Personal Financial Planning in Singapore, the first country in the world to do so.
At the 20th Asia Insurance Industry Awards 2016 held in Macau on 11 October 2016, SCI again clinched the prestigious Educational Service Provider of the Year Award for the fourth time. There are judging criteria to meet the stringent requirements for this Award of Honour. As stated in the Asia Insurance Review, The Winners Magazine, “SCI’s programmes cater to senior managers and support staff, attracting young talent to the industry with a high retention rate. Its qualifications are recognised by respected insurance and financial service training institutions, including CII and ANZIIF. In addition, its exchange programmes, many well-attended specialist workshops and ASEAN managerial schools meet the training needs of the Asian insurance industry”.
At the 22nd Asia Insurance Industry Awards 2018 held in Singapore on 29 October 2018, SCI once again clinched the prestigious Educational Service Provider of the Year Award for the fifth time. This time, SCI was recognised for "continuing to meet the training needs of both the local and regional market through its specialist programmes and wide adoption of technology which increase both interaction and efficiency in learning".
At the 26th Asia Insurance Industry Awards 2022 held in Singapore on 31 October 2022, SCI clinched the prestigious Educational Service Provider of the Year Award for the sixth time. This time, SCI was recognised for "continuing to meet the growing training needs of both the local and regional markets, not only in traditional skills but also in specialised areas like green insurance and sustainable risk management."
